What others are saying

Our virtual visit with author Chris Kreie was exciting and engaging for our students. They truly enjoyed listening to the process of writing and getting published, and continually asked him thought provoking questions to prove their engagement. Many students were hooked when he read the first chapter of his book Casey KC and wanted to read more. Our young audience was truly interested in Chris’s presentation and many students referenced his presentation as their favorite out of the week of our literacy activities! – Middle School Coordinator, Clinton Public School, Clinton, NJ

My students don’t often sit that quietly and listen. They are so creative and spontaneous that it’s sometimes a challenge to hear all their voices. I appreciate that Chris took his time answering questions. The fact that Chris works in a genre that they are not choosing right now didn’t seem to make any difference. His explanations about his writing process were very compelling. It’s always good to talk about writing. – Roosevelt Middle School writing club advisor, Blaine, MN

It was great to have Chris here!  I know the students really enjoyed themselves and I can’t wait to see his books flying off the shelves!!! – Media and Technology Integration Specialist, Visitation School, MN

Thanks to Chris for his appearance last night. We’re always thrilled to see so many people from the community who might not otherwise be that acquainted with us. – Youth Services Librarian, Gardner & Edgerton Public Libraries, Gardner, KS

Our middle school students participated in a Skype visit with Mr. Kreie during our Read Across America Day activities.  Our students were so excited to ‘meet’ him and were very engaged during our conversation about books, writing and sports. It was truly a one-of-a-kind experience for my students in our small town. I highly recommend Mr. Kreie to visit with any classroom.  Your students will not be able to stop talking about it! – Library Media Specialist, Putnam County Middle School, GA

I loved having Chris Kreie visit my library. He was engaging and did a great job about talking about the writing experience. I loved how he ended by reading a chapter and getting kids excited to read it. I would highly recommend Chris Kreie to other teachers and librarians. – Library Media Specialist, Gardner Edgerton Schools, KS

Having Mr. Kreie come and speak with our students about his new book KC Casy was a fabulous experience for everyone involved. The message of perseverance and life passions was pertinent and well spoken. He answered questions with wit and sincerity and inspired more than one kid to go home and start writing! – Library Media Specialist, Gardner Edgerton Schools, KS

The teachers and students loved the presentation. Many students even attended the after school event that was held at the public library to purchase some of his books and talk more with Chris in person.
